Color Palettes

This was an exercise created for my design class. We had to include a portrait our name, birthday and an adjective with the greatest emphasis on our name. We also had to create a color palette and then, using the same composition, make 3 different versions emphasizing the different colors.

I usually do hand drawn stuff, but instead for this assignment I browsed through and got inspiration from magazine layouts. It was fun doing something new and there is definitely room for improvement within my layout (like taking care of silly tangents like where the first P of Pope shows behind Alex, and separating headstrong more so from the background) but for the most part I'm pretty happy with these :).

yay breaking out of comfort zones!!

Epilepsy

I made this card for a very close and dear friend of mine who not to long ago was diagnosed with epilepsy and has been dealing with it better then I could ever have.

I made this very questionable card for her because I wanted to make her laugh... it didn't quite work but at least it was pretty and [I hope they know] very sincere. It has been forever since I have used my markers and half of them were dried out and had to be thrown away, but I still tried my best to make something pretty.

Fathoms

This is a quick poster I whipped up for my teacher and friend Joe at Mografi :).

I wish I had had more time to do something real cool... but school is starting to get into the full swing of things and I'm working on re-vamping my stuff for internships and making a piece for promaxbda's student story challenge.

I am super duper excited though to see Joe's film: Fathoms. He finally finished it and is working on rendering now, and so I look forward to seeing the final movie very soon!

Baltimore Orioles

This started as a class project to create a jumbotron animation and practice green screen compositing techniques. In the end the Baltimore Orioles picked 6 final animations from the class (mine being one of them! :) ) to play at their stadiums in Sarasota, FL & Baltimore, MD.
I'm very excited to be picked because the only baseball game I've ever been to was an awesome Orioles game with my uncle since I am originally from Maryland. It was a great experience and so I was very happy to do this for my home team.
